Recipients must self-identify as an Indigenous person in Canada (i.e., First Nations, Inuit and Métis); must be enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of studies in the Faculty of Arts & Science at Innis College and be registered in the current Fall/Winter Session (can be either a returning or a graduating student); and must demonstrate strong academic performance and distinguished Indigenous community-based contributions. Financial need may be considered. Please note that returning students must register in the subsequent fall/winter session to be eligible to receive the award.

To be awarded for outstanding academic performance to an Innis College undergraduate degree student in the Faculty of Arts & Science (FAS) pursuing a major or a specialist in one of the life science programs. Student with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.70 as they pass their 5th, 10th & 15th credit completed in the FAS will be considered. Financial need may be considered. To receive the award, recipients must register at Innis College in the subsequent Fall/Winter academic session.
